Thief Caught on Camera Stealing Goat from Moving Car in Quetta
In Pakistan, during the annual celebration of Eid ul Adha, individuals take great precautions to safeguard their sacrificial animals from theft by keeping them inside their homes. However, a recent incident in Quetta has shocked many as a video capturing a thief stealing a goat from a moving car has gone viral.
The stolen animal was either being transported to a Maweshi Mandi (livestock market) or had been purchased and was being taken to its new owner’s home. The CCTV footage reveals a man boarding the moving car and swiftly snatching the sacrificial goat. He then leaps off the vehicle, clutching the animal in his arms.
Subsequently, the thief and an accomplice flee the scene on a motorcycle. The incident took place on Sariab Road in Quetta. Unfortunately, such occurrences of animal theft are not uncommon in Pakistan, with thieves often selling the stolen animals for profit. The prevailing high inflation in the country has made it increasingly challenging for people to afford sacrificial animals for Eid ul Adha.
Tragic Turn of Events: Thieves Meet Fatal Accident
In a separate incident in Kot Addu, Punjab, two thieves who had stolen a sacrificial goat met a tragic fate when their motorcycle collided with a truck. According to the police, the thieves were attempting to escape after stealing the animal when their bike lost control, resulting in the fatal accident.
These incidents shed light on the importance of heightened security measures during the festive season, emphasizing the need for vigilance and precautionary steps to safeguard sacrificial animals from theft.
