Maryam Nawaz Takes Boat to Review Ravi River Flood
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz personally visited the Shahdara area to inspect the high flood level in the Ravi River. She got into a boat to get a firsthand look at the developing Ravi River Flood situation.
The emergency has been caused by floodwater released from India. According to officials, a massive water flow of up to 200,000 cusecs is expected to pass through Shahdara by this afternoon.
During her boat tour, officials briefed the Chief Minister on the latest updates regarding the Ravi River Flood and the safety measures being taken.

Government Monitoring the Situation Closely
Before her boat inspection, CM Maryam Nawaz, along with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas. They were both briefed on the overall flood conditions and the ongoing rescue and relief operations.
Separately, Punjab’s Senior Minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb, spoke to the media and confirmed the unfortunate news that 12 people have died in different accidents caused by the floods in Punjab.
She reassured the public, stating, “All rescue institutions are active, and the government will not leave its people alone. As a nation, we will face and overcome this natural disaster together.”
