The military’s media wing stated that the funerals were attended by senior serving and retired officers, soldiers, relatives, and a large number of people.
The press statement further emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Pakistan Army to defend the motherland against both internal and external threats. It warned that any hostile attempts to disrupt the hard-earned peace would be met with the full force of Pakistan’s armed forces.
These two soldiers of the Pakistan Army lost their lives during an exchange of fire with terrorists in North Waziristan district, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, on Sunday.

According to ISPR, Pakistani troops effectively engaged the terrorist location, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists and the injury of two others. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the deceased terrorists.
The operations carried out by the Pakistan Army have played a crucial role in dismantling terrorist infrastructure and eliminating the threat posed by these groups to both the civilian population and security forces.
During his inaugural press conference on April 25, Maj-Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the director general of ISPR, revealed that a total of 8,269 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) had been conducted since January. These operations led to the killing or apprehension of 1,535 terrorists.
Balochistan witnessed 4,040 IBOs, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa had 3,591, Punjab had 119, and Sindh had 519 operations. On average, the army, police, and LEAs were conducting over 70 IBOs daily since January.
