By-elections are held when any seat in the National Assembly or any of the four provincial assemblies becomes vacant due to resignation, death, disqualification or de-notification of any elected member. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issues the schedule for the by-elections in one constituency or set of constituencies as the case may be, and conducts the by-elections. It issues the results of the by-elections after completion of the counting process. By-election results notified by the ECP are shown below.

Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa By Elections October 2022: On Sunday (16th October 2022), Polling for the by-elections in Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue till 5 pm without any break.
The constituencies where polling is taking place are: NA-22 Mardan-III, NA-24 Charsadda-II, NA-31 Peshawar-V, NA-108 Faisalabad-VIII, NA-118 Nankana Sahib -II, NA 157 Multan-IV, NA-237 Malir-II, NA-239 Korangi, Karachi-I.
Moreover, by-elections are also being held on three Punjab Assembly seats — PP-241 Bahawalnagar-V; PP-209 Khanewal-VII, and PP-139 Sheikhupura-V.
