Pakistan’s legendary singer Nayyara Noor, popularly known as Bulbul e Pakistan, passed away at the age of 71 in Karachi.
According to Nayyara Noor’s family sources, she was sick for the last few days and was undergoing treatment in Karachi.
The death of the singer was confirmed by her nephew who said on Twitter that my aunt has passed away.
Nayyara Noor’s funeral prayer will be offered today at 4 pm at Masjid & Imam Bargah Yathrib Defense Karachi and burial will be done at Defense Phase 8 Cemetery.
Nayyara Noor bid farewell to professional singing in 2012, her unique voice is a hallmark of Pakistani music.
Nayyara Noor was born on November 3, 1950 in Guwahati, Assam, she lived in Karachi, Pakistan.
In the early days, the singing of Begum Akhtar and Kanan Devi influenced her. Nayyara Noor was a student of National College of Arts Lahore at that time when she sang for Radio Pakistan.
Nayyara Noor played an important role in conveying the words of Faiz Sahib to the public, she always chose beautiful poetry for her singing.
He also sang songs for several TV serials, his Gaya Milli Naghme also became very popular.
Nayyara Noor has been honored with numerous national honors, she was initially awarded the title of Bulbul Pakistan with the Pride of Performance Award by the President of Pakistan in 2006.
Nayyara Noor was also awarded the Nigar Award in 1973.
