The 75th Independence Day was celebrated in Pakistan today with great enthusiasm.
At the beginning of the day, a 21-gun salute was fired, on this occasion the atmosphere echoed with the slogan Takbeer, special prayers were offered for national development, unity, peace and prosperity in the Fajr prayer.
On the occasion of Independence Day, a grand ceremony of changing of the guard was held at Mazar-e-Quaid.
Earlier, Independence Day started late at night with fireworks, national anthems and green crescent flags in various cities.
Various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Quetta and Peshawar witnessed the start of Independence Day.
Young people took to the streets with green crescent flags and flags. Streets, highways, intersections were decorated with electric lanterns, while government buildings were illuminated.
The musicians also danced in celebration of the country’s Diamond Jubilee.
Apart from this, on the morning of Independence Day, a solemn ceremony of the changing of the guard was held at Mazar-i-Iqbal.
